During this PSPS event, EDSO will be assisting the Superior Court of El Dorado County to disperse information. Below is a message from them:

Due to the power shutdown, El Dorado Court phones are not operational at any court location. The El Dorado Court website is not operational and Civil tentative rulings will not be posted online.

Thursday, 10/10, only the following court locations are open:

  • South Lake Tahoe, 1354 Johnson Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150
  • Department 7, 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville, CA 95667
  • Main Street, 495 Main Street, Placerville, CA 95667

Friday, 10/11, only the following court locations are open:

“The Superior Court of El Dorado County would like to assure the public during the impending PG&E power outage that all court facilities will remain open for business. While there may be no telephone or computer access, our employees will do their best to assist the public during this difficult and stressful time.
Please be advised that there will be a location change, on October 11th ONLY, as follows:


• Department 1 and 2 matters normally heard at 495 Main Street, Placerville will be held in Department 9 and 10 located at 3321 Cameron Park Drive, Cameron Park 95682″

Undersheriff Reappointed to Collaborative Justice Courts Advisory Committee

On September 15, 2019, Undersheriff Randy Peshon was reappointed to the Judicial Council Collaborative Justice Courts Advisory Committee.  The advisory committee is comprised of superior court judges, court executives, advocates, subject matter exports and advisory staff, reporting directly to the Judicial Council of California. The committee makes recommendations to the Judicial Council on criteria for identifying and evaluation collaborative justice courts and improving the processing of cases in these courts.

Randy has served in law enforcement for nearly 43 years and is currently the Undersheriff for El Dorado County. Randy has served in Patrol, Detectives, Custody, Court Services, Transportation, Search and Rescue and the Dive Team.

Randy is an appointed member of the California State Collaborative Justice Courts Advisory Committee and for 12 years worked as a Facilitator for the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission Supervisory Leadership Institute. Randy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California Berkeley, is a graduate of California’s Command College, and a graduate of the FBI’s National Academy.

Randy has spent his career with problem solving teams, leading groups under pressure and working with vulnerable populations.

Randy has two daughters and makes his home with his wife Teresa in Lake Tahoe where they enjoy snowshoeing, photography, mountain biking and swimming.
