King Fire UPDATE

Cal Fire has put out the following information regarding the King Fire:

The King Fire is currently located in the canyon of the south fork of the American river, northeast of the community of Pollock Pines.  It is approximately 3000 acres and 10% contained and moving east/northeast with a rapid rate of spread.

Road closures are Forebay Road at Blair Road and Forebay Road at Pony Express Trail.

 Mandatory Evacuation Orders are in place for all of the following: Eastside of Forebay Road from King of the Mountain Road to Pony Express Trail.  All roads north of Pony Express Trail from Forebay Road east through Bullion Bend.  White Meadows road and Spring Valley Road are also under mandatory evacuation.

Voluntary evacuation advisories are in place for residents located on the westside of Forebay road from Blair Road to Pony Express trail and the following areas: Badger Hill road, Marmot road, Lucky Mine road, Old Blair Mill road, Apple creek Ct., Applemont Ranch, Chickaree Lane, Longs Creek, Quick silver Road, Quick silver Ct.,  and Baltimore Road.

King Fire Evacuation UPDATE

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services has arranged for the Red Cross to provide sleeping accomodations and meals for evacuees of the King Fire,  at a new Evacuation Center located at the Sierra Ridge Middle School, 2700 Amber Trail, Pollock Pines, Ca. Amber Trail is off of Gold Ridge Trail off of Sly Park Road. The Red Cross will be leaving the previously established site at the Pollock Pines Community Center immediately as the location has lost power.

The El Dorado County Chief Administrative Office (CAO) has established a King Fire information line (530-642-7263) and an email adress of [email protected] for questions regaring fire victim assistance, road closures and evacuations.

Cal fire provides an information line (530-647-5218) for questions and information regarding the fire.

King Fire Evacuation UPDATE

Mandatory evacuation orders have been extended to 15 residences in the area of White Meadows Road from Ice House Road to the end of White Meadows Road. The order includes all roads off of White Meadows Road west of Ice House Road except for Peavine Ridge Road.
