PROSTITUTION / SEX TRAFFICKING PRESS RELEASE

The South Lake El Dorado Narcotics Enforcement Team (SLEDNET) has been investigating complaints of prostitution. The investigation focused on individuals who conduct human trafficking through advertisements for escort services placed on websites such as “Backpage.com.

On Thursday 01/21/2015, SLEDNET Agents, with the assistance of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office and South Lake Tahoe Police Department conducted an investigation into prostitution and sex trafficking in the Tahoe basin. This investigation resulted in the arrest of three individuals for Prostitution in violation of California Penal Code statute 647(B) which is a Misdemeanor.  One individual, 37 year old Daniel Gordon of Reno, was arrested for Pimping in violation of California Penal Code statue 266 H (A) which is a Felony, as well as driving on a suspended / revoked license violation of 14601.1(a) of the California Vehicle Code.

SLEDNET has observed an increase in prostitution, both locally and in the surrounding areas. Missing Adult

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is looking for anyone who has information regarding the mysterious disappearance of Justin Bonderer.  Justin has been missing since April 6, 2015, under suspicious circumstances.  Justin is a white male adult, 34 years-old, about 5’ 11” tall, 180 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He is normally seen spending time visiting family and friends.

Justin has been a long time resident of Georgetown before moving to Camino with his girlfriend last April.  Sheriff’s detectives were able to track Justin up through April 6th, where he was last seen in Placerville on his way to Camino. Justin normally doesn’t drive, but either catches a ride or hitchhikes to his destinations.

On April 7, 2015, the home Justin shared with his girlfriend in Camino was burned in a fire. Detectives confirmed Justin and his girlfriend were not at home during that time. He allegedly never made it to Camino. Justin’s girlfriend hasn’t seen him and doesn’t know where he is.

Burglar Arrested in Hawaii

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in two burglaries that occurred in Cool and Coloma. Bay Area resident Tyrone Brennen, was arrested on 12/31/15 after arriving in Honolulu, Hawaii. In a collaborative investigation with numerous agencies, Brennen was linked to eight separate burglaries throughout California to include El Dorado, Placer, Nevada, and San Luis Obispo Counties. Brennen will be transported to San Luis Obispo County to begin the trial process.
