UPDATE The Red Cross has made a schedule modification and will have a presence in Georgetown starting TODAY, Thursday, September 25th at 1:30 pm. 

• Location: Georgetown Fire Station, 6281 Main Street in Georgetown, CA
• Hours: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
• Days: Today September, 25th, Friday, September 26^th & Saturday, September 27^th (additional presence will be based on client need)
• Services to be provided: Casework (depending on client need this could be either direct assistance or referrals), snacks, hydration. *Bulk items will become available once need is determined – bulk items can include clean-up supplies*

The operator hours at the El Dorado County Fire Hotline, 530-642-7263, have been modified. The hotline will now be staffed from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. The hotline will no longer be staffed during the evening hours or on the weekends. However, recorded fire information will be available at the hotline during non-staffed hours.

The hotline has been a countywide effort facilitated by the El Dorado County CAO’s Office in conjunction with several other county departments and employees. The hotline has been vital to the success that has been achieved so far in fighting the King Fire. Hotline operators have provided information and assistance to nearly 6000 residents thus far. The Sheriff’s Office is grateful for all of those who are continuing to work together for the good of our residents.

Residents needing assistance beyond what is available on the hotline recording can contact the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center at 530-621-6600. Sheriff’s Dispatchers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
