Current Road Closures
UPDATED 09/24/14 @ 6PM TO REFLECT THE REPOPULATION OF THE COMMUNITY OF SWANSBORO
Road closures have been removed at the previously established points of:
Mosquito Road at Volz Lane and Rock Creek Road at Highway 193
To maintain the mandatory evacuation of the Quintette and Volcanoville communities, two new road closure points will be established at the intersections of:
Mosquito Road at Stope Drive and Stope Drive at Dickinson Road
The following pre-existing road closures continue to exist:
Slab Creek Reservoir @ North Canyon Road
Cable Road @ Badger Hill Road
Wentworth Springs Road @ Chiquita Bypass
Wentworth Springs Road @ Sand Mountain Road
Ice House Road @ Highway 50

Wrights Lake Road @ Highway 50

Forebay Road @ Blair Road (Residents Only)

 

#KingFire Swansboro Repopulation

Camino –The King Incident and cooperating agencies announce the repopulation of residents in the community of Swansboro on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

To maintain the mandatory evacuation of the Quintette and Volcanoville communities, two road closure points will be established at the intersection of Mosquito Road and Stope Drive and Stope Drive at Dickinson Road. Use caution as emergency vehicles continue to work and travel through the area.

Cooperating Agencies: CHP, Red Cross, Cal OES, El Dorado Irrigation District, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Sierra Pacific Industries, PG&E, Placer County Water Agency, Placer County Sheriffs, California Conservation Corps, El Dorado County Animal Services, El Dorado County CAO’s Office, El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency, El Dorado County Community Development Agency, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, Cal-Fire, US Forest Service, Incident Management Team 5 and many others.
