Indecent Exposure Arrest

During the past six weeks the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a male suspect exposing his genitalia to women in shopping centers primarily along Missouri Flat Road in unincorporated Placerville. However, the most recent report involved a male suspect exposing his genitalia to a juvenile at a shopping center in Cameron Park. Throughout the majority of these incidents, the male suspect used a mask such as a scarf or bandana to conceal his identity.
After a lengthy investigation, Detectives arrested Dakota Spann on the evening of 03/15/2017.  Spann is a 22 year old male resident of unincorporated Placerville and he is currently in the custody of the El Dorado County Jail on six counts on 314.1 PC, indecent exposure and one count of 647.6 PC, annoy or molest a child under 18 years of age.

Juvenile Suspect Stabs Self During Warrant Arrest

On March 9, 2017, at approximately 12:51 pm, the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office,   El Dorado County Probation Department and the South Lake Tahoe Police Department responded to the 800 block of San Jose Avenue in the City of South Lake Tahoe to serve a no bail arrest warrant on a juvenile offender.

Upon arrival law enforcement personnel asked the suspect to exit the residence and he refused.  After multiple requests, the juvenile suspect opened the front door and informed the officers he had a self-inflicted knife wound to the abdomen.  Officers on scene immediately performed first aid on the suspect until medical personnel arrived and transported him to a local hospital for treatment.

At the time of this press release the suspect is in stable condition.

U.S. Small Business Administration Private Nonprofit Organizations Physical Disaster Declaration

Placerville, CA—President Donald J. Trump issued a major disaster declaration on February 14, 2017 due to Severe Winter Storms, Flooding and Mudslides that occurred January 3-12, 2017.  As a result, the U.S.  Small Business Administration (SBA) is making available loans to private, nonprofit organizations that provide essential services of a government nature. These private, nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans.  The deadline to apply for the Physical Loan is April 17, 2017. The deadline to apply for the Economic Injury (EIDL) Load Application is November 14, 2017. The number assigned to this disaster for physical damage is 15049B and for economic injury 15050B.
